A Nigerian psychiatrist, Dr Maymunah Kadiri has advised married women to have regular s*x with their spouses in order to prevent depression and be happy.

Kadiri, who is the Medical Director of Pinnacle Medical Services gave the advice in a recent interview saying s*x is not just to nourish a woman’s body, but it is also beneficial to her mental health.

“As women, there is need for us to make our spouses our best friends if we want to be mentally healthy. Studies have shown that women who have more active s*x and in long term relationships were less likely to be depressed than women who went without s*x.

So, more s*x is important and essential. It is a remedy to curing women from having persistent headache. Low sexual drive, which leads to depression, should be looked into.

A woman can be depressed when that sexual drive that she used to have is no more there. Frequent active s*x can play good roles toward women’s sense of well being and quality of life,’’ Kadiri said.

She explained that s*x was not just for procreation and to have children, adding that it could create bonding, good companionship and sound sleep. Kadiri, popularly called ‘celebrity shrink’, urged women dealing with depression to frequently indulge in s*x, while boosting their self-esteem.

Thando Thabethe is the new cover girl for Cosmopolitan South Africa November issue.

The South African actress, DJ, and MC has had a great year thus far, from landing a role in Housekeepers to walking for Moschino show at Milan Fashion Week and also hosting her own reality show on TLC. Inside the magazine, Thando spills on all her 2018 highlight and what the perfect summer means to her.

Read excerpts below;

On her 2018 highlights: Being on the cover of COSMO is definitely one of them. I grew up seeing some of my favourite stars on the cover – and now it’s me, so that’s pretty amazing. Hosting the South African Film and Television Awards for the second year in a row was pretty special, and the launch of my talk show Thando Bares All on TLC Africa was beyond my wildest dreams. My proudest moment this year, though, has to be seeing exponential growth in my women’s empowerment initiative, the Thando Thabethe Women’s Day Netball Challenge. Knowing that I’m making a difference in women’s lives brings me so much joy.

Her idea of a perfect summer day: I’d have to be in a coastal city – Durban over Cape Town, purely for the weather! The day would start with a morning at a spa, including a full-body massage and a facial. Then I’d have lunch on the beachfront at a seafood restaurant, followed by a sexy, chic yacht party – picture ethereal cover-ups, house music and cocktails flowing everywhere.

Three ingredients for the best summer ever

1 Self-love

2 Body positivity

3 A cute wardrobe

How You Can Pay Less Baggage Fees On Airlines

Airlines have made a big business out of incidental fees and one of the biggest sources of revenue from this are checked baggage fees. The good news is there are a number of ways for you to get around it.

Stay Loyal To An Airline
If you fly often, try to fly the same airline as much as possible and join its frequent flyer program. Almost all major airlines offer discounts on checked baggage or waive the fee altogether for their frequent flyer program members.

Go For An Upgraded Fare
At first, the price that comes along with an upgraded fare may seem unreasonable, until you factor in that the more expensive seat may actually come with a complimentary checked bag.

Use an airline Rewards Card
Buy your plane ticket with a co-branded airline credit card and you’ll get a range of benefits, including a waived baggage fee.

Sign Up For A Premium Travel Card
If you’re not a frequent flyer, but want to reap the benefits of travelling periodically, consider signing up for a premium travel credit card. Some airlines card for instance allows you to earn five points per dollar on all airline and hotel purchases. Furthermore, some allow points to be transferred to their frequent flyer programs.

You may also get complimentary airport lounge access at The Centurion, Priority Pass and receive an annual air travel credit that will reimburse you for baggage fees and in-flight purchases on one airline.

Travel With A Card Holder
If you’re not interested in a travel credit card, find someone who is. If you fly some airlines and have someone who holds a Platinum Select World Elite Mastercard, for example, both of you (plus two other friends) will get your first bag checked for free. The only catch is that they may require you you to be on the same reservation.

The One Thing Every Employer Wants To See On Your CV

Whether you’re a fresh graduate or an experienced job seeker, you may want to forget everything you knew about writing a CV.

The simple truth is searching for a job can be quite stressful and intimidating. While your LinkedIn profile could be airtight, your references flawless, if your resume bombs, so does your chance at acing your interview.

More so, according to research potential employers spend about six seconds on a CV which makes creating the perfect one even more crucial. What is the typical job seeker to do?

Forget everything you thought you knew about resumes and CVs, including summaries and volunteer experience. According to experts, the secret to a great resume lies in the results.

What experts mean by this is listing your accomplishments on your CV with adjectives like “detail-oriented” or “self-motivated” might seem impressive to you, but odds are the employer won’t believe it until you prove your worth with numbers.

If you want to make an unforgettable first impression on a potential employer, you must show movement and real progress, and quantify your accomplishments with real, hard data. Your results-focused resume will present a more accurate snapshot of who you are and what you can do—and clear the way for others to see that too.

For example, a descriptor like “Successfully trained the customer success team to improve customer communications.” While the task itself sounds impressive, your CV can have more impact when you write “Created 25 template responses and trained the customer success team, reducing average response time to under two hours.”

The difference between the first and second descriptor is that it provides a clearer picture of the direct impact you made on the company. More so, quantifiable achievements do more than spice up your CV.

Irrespective of whether you’re a new graduate or an experienced job hunter, they also tell a story about your past success, work ethic, and credibility. And for employers, that detail can make or break your chances of landing the all-important interview (not to mention the job).

Rapper Naeto C and his wife Nicole have welcomed their newborn, a baby girl whom they’ve named Naeso.

The new parents both took to their Instagram pages to share the good news.

Naeto C wrote:

My 2nd daughter Naeso is finally here and I can’t stop looking at her…I’m in love again ❤️❤️❤️I’m forever THANKFUL🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.

While Nicole wrote:

Twelve Days of Walking on Air (more like stumbling around in a daze of tiredness 😩) with this precious little girl. Thanking God for a safe delivery and my beautiful and amazing daughter Naesochukwu.
Soso, I didn’t know how much I needed you until you got here 😩😩Thank you God. Thank you, Mother Mary, for your intercession. Thank you @naetosuperc for everything. You are and will always be my best friend. Thank you to my incredible friends and family who kept me together through this intense year. And thank YOU for your prayers and well wishes! She’s finally here! #NaesoC#mumofthree#cantbelieveit
